This picture happened, because Evan insisted I take a picture of him, while I was taking Daphne's lost tooth picture. He kept grabbing at the camera. I told him to smile, and this is what happened. Pretty funny!

The First Visit From the Tooth Fairy!

And so, our little Princess Daphne lost her first tooth this week. It has been in the works for awhile, but she wouldn't let us pull it. So, the other morning I told her I was just "polishing" it while it was in her mouth. I grabbed hold, and she said "no". Before she could finish the "no", it was already out. It was barely in there. Funny enough, the adult tooth was already pretty far up.

I told her that she would have to put it under her pillow for the tooth fairy that night. While we were eating dinner, she said "I gotta eat fast. I've got to go to bed so the tooth fairy can come."(This was at 5:30pm!) I told her she could still go to bed early, and she did. It was a very easy night for bedtime with her!

We were so lucky this past week to have my Mom come out to visit. It's so nice to have family come. We wish more of them could have joined us. We had a blast! It was really hard to take her to the airport today. The kids enjoyed having one of their Grandma's here to "play" with. Daphne had no problems; but Evan is in major Mommy-mode. If it's not Mommy, he's gonna scream. I think he finally warmed up this morning...before the ride to the airport.

Thanks for coming out to visit Mom! We already miss you.

Evan's 1st Birthday!

Here are pictures from Evan's first birthday.

Evan's first hair cut!

One of my friends cut Evan's hair for the first time. He was so cute sitting there. Here are the pictures I promised.

Happy Birthday Evan!

I can hardly believe it, my baby is 1! How did the year go by so fast? It's amazing to see how quickly they go from being an itty bitty baby, to walking. Here are some pictures from the past year!

It's been a busy month! Lots of changes going on. Daphne's teacher ended up moving, so she is now in a different class. We were so sad to hear she was moving. Daphne LOVED being in her class. She is such a great teacher! She is enjoying her new class though. She enjoys playing with all the kids. Somehow, she never runs out of energy! I am convinced, they fill them full of pure sugar and send them home!

A couple of weeks ago, we got the kids haircut. Daphne's hair looks so cute! It's finally all one length! It took a lot of convincing to get her to do all one length. I am so glad I persisted! Evan got his first hair cut, he looks like a little boy now! (I must have already packed the cord for my camera, or I would upload the pictures.)Our friend Jessica did such a great job on their hair.

We are officially moving! We are so glad to be getting into a one-story. Climbing the stairs has gotten really old. Just in the nick of time too; Evan can get up all 16 steps! It's bittersweet though; we will be moving out of our ward and changing Daphne's school. Fortunately, we aren't moving too far. So, we will still be able to see people. Needless to say, it will be nice to have our own place again!

Once we find the cord to the camera, we will upload photos!

It's amazing how quickly time goes by. Evan is now 10 months, crawling and trying to walk. Daphne is almost 6, going on 16! Where does the time go?

We have been on a house hunt recently. We put in an offer, but have learned...a short-sale is anything but. So, we are continuing to look. We are hoping to stay in our current ward. So, that kinda narrows down the field a little bit.

For those of you that have kids going to the elementary school in the neighborhood, you might get a good laugh. Daphne was told to get in bed the other night. She kept getting out, wanting to watch what Jeff and I were watching. I finally was frustrated (this was the 5th time she was out of bed) I had to say rather loudly,"if you get out of bed again...(you get the picture). She yelled at me from her room "you are not being a pillar of character, and I'm telling my teacher about it." Oh, the joys of being a parent. Needless to say, Jeff and I got a great laugh out of it all.

This past week my parents came out for an extended weekend, it was great having them out here. On Valentine's day, instead of going out to eat and dealing with the crowds, we stayed in and grilled steak. All the adults enjoyed it, Daphne not so much. But Evan...he spit out the other food he was eating just to be able to eat the steak!Definitely a boy!!! He will eat just about anything.

For Daphne's Valentine's day party we (my Mom, Dad, Evan and myself) went to Daphne's school to help out. Wow, a Valentine's day party for kinders is a little stressful. They sure have a LOT of energy! Daphne loved showing us off.

Loving Sunny Arizona!

So, whenever I sit down to write a post, something happens. The kiddos have been keeping us very busy.

Since the weather has been so nice, we try and go to the park several times a week, because before we know it, it will be like 110 degrees! Daphne loves to swing and run around. Evan is getting more mobile, but he gets to sit on the blanket with me while we watch Miss Daphne play. The other day Evan decided to swipe a box of raisins from a friend we were with. Here's what happened.

Daphne had her last day of dance and gymnastics. The kids got to show the parents what they had learned. Daphne was so cute. She was so proud of what she can now do. It's amazing to see all the she has learned. They gave each of the kids a medal at the end. Daphne sleeps with her's. It's in her pillowcase!

Daphne after she got her medal. (So cute!)

Merry Christmas!

Wow! I can't believe that it's already Christmas! We had a great Christmas. Daphne was so excited that Santa came to visit. Santa even left her a little letter! She thought that was "cool". (It's so funny some of the things that she has started saying.)She even waited until after 8 am. I think it was because it was so dark in the house. (It was overcast and rainy! Yeah!!! We don't get many of these days to enjoy!)Evan enjoyed his first Christmas. He wanted to tear the wrapping paper of the present that Daphne was opening. I think he enjoyed the wrapping paper the most!

We hope you enjoyed your Christmas!
Merry Christmas

Some fun pictures of the kids!

Daphne was Sleeping Beauty for Halloween! She had tons of fun dressing up, wig and all!

Daphne was student of the week, and she got a gift certificate for Chili's!

Evan decided he wanted to eat not just his food, but the napkin too! (What a healthy appetite he has!)

The kids and Great-Grandma!

The Kids and Great-Grandpa!

Daphne, Evan and I got back on Saturday evening from visiting family in Kansas. We had a blast seeing everyone! We were sad to come back, but happy to see Jeff again. We were happy to have warmer weather though! We have definately become accustomed to the warm weather, and become wimps when it comes to the cold.

We waited to tell Daphne we were flying out to Kansas until the right before we left for the airport. We got her up at 4:45am and told her at 5 am. Here is the reaction we got. We didn't really get a reaction from Evan. He just slept the whole time.

Evan had his 6 month check-up on November 4. He weighed 17lbs 10.5 oz! He is now 27.5 inches long. He is going to be a big boy. He is eating tons, so I figure he should weigh as much as Daphne in a year or two.

Daphne and Evan both got shots that day tood. Daphne just got her flu shot. She got to go first, and the nurse was awesome! She did it so quick, before Daphne could get away! When Daphne started to cry, Evan got a little upset too. It's so sweet to see how much he watches her. If she's upset, he is upset. Evan wasn't too happy after his 6 shots. He was pretty fussy for several days.

We are getting all set for the kids and I to go visit KS this weekend. Jeff has to work, so it's just the 3 of us. We haven't told Miss Daph yet. We have to leave pretty early on Saturday to catch our flight, so we are going to tell her once we get to the airport. I hope I can get a good picture of her reaction when we tell her we are going to visit everyone.

Halloween..a week long event!

This Halloween was an event that seemed to last a whole week! Last Saturday, we went up to Anthem, AZ to spend time with some friends of ours. We decided to go to their ward's(our old ward) trunk-or-treat. Then on Thursday (Oct 30), our ward had a trunk-or-treat. Friday in the day, I volunteered to help out for Daphne's kindergarten class party. Even before we went trick-or-treating, Daphne had 2 pumpkins full of candy! With all the candy she got thru out the week we didn't feel to bad only going to about 10 houses and calling it a night on Halloween.

This year, Daphne wanted to be about 20 different things. She decided on Sleeping Beauty. We had a wig and everything! She looked pretty cute! She kept posing for the camera, and telling me to "take more pictures of me"!

Evan was supposed to be a monkey. I bought a monkey costume that was 0-9 months. I held it up to him and everything. It looked more than big enough. When I started to get him dressed, I looked at the kid I was trying to stuff into this costume, then the costume. I realized no matter how hard we tried it was not going to fit! (Evan turned 6 months on the 30th and weighs almost 18 lbs!) Looking back, I probably should have bought a 12 month outfit! Jeff decided to get Daphne's first costume out. We were able to squeeze Evan into it, but it was snug! Evan didn't think it was very much fun, he pretty much screamed while Jeff was getting him dressed!
